Lay. General Hanut Singh was born on 6 July 1933. Colonel Arjun Singh Ji Rathore was held at the house of Jasol, Rajasthan. He was the cousin of former Foreign and Defense Minister Jaswant Singh. After completing studies at Karnan Brown School in Dehradun, he entered NDA in 1949. That's where they joined the army. Here he was appointed as Second Lieutenant. After this, he continued to progress step by step.
The strength is shown in the India-Pak war-
Hanut Singh participated in the India-Pak war on behalf of the Pune Horse Regiment in 1965 and 1971. Under their leadership A. B. Tarpare and Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal demolished 48 tanks of the Pakistan Army and released sixes of the Pakistan Army by introducing war skills.
Pakistan said pride of Hind
Influenced by Hanut Singh's skills in the war, Pakistan's unit awarded this Indian regiment with the title of Fakr-e-Hind which was awarded by an opposition army for the first time in the history of the Indian Army. Mahavir Chakra was also awarded to show them bravery in the war.
Child-Brahmachari remained forever-
Hanut Singh was known as Gurudev in the regiment. All people respected them saying this. They did not get married. Impressed by them, most of the officials of their unit also did not marry.
Became a saint from a soldier-
He was trending towards spirituality and yoga since childhood. During the army, he was introduced to Shaiv Bal Ashram of Dehradun. He started staying there after retiring from the army. He was known by the name of Guruji. They were strictly against alcohol and meat.
Dehradun's Bal Shivayogi was impressed by him. He settled down there after this. He used to visit Balasati Ashram in Jodhpur for two months a year. Even there he doesn't talk to family much and engage in his spiritual practice.

Hanut Singh Rathore was a descendant of Jasol Rawal Mallinath, his descendant is Mahecha Rathore, his father lt. Lt Colonel (then) Hanut Singh Rathore had commanded 47 Infantry Brigades in this war, Shakargarh was one of the areas where the most fierce war took place in this war.
