Nehru

 *మనలో చాలా మందికి Nehru గారి మీద సదభిప్రాయం లేక పోవచ్చు, ముఖ్యంగా ఈ మధ్య కాలంలో ఆయన మీద వచ్చిన అనేక వ్యతిరేక reports ను బట్టి,  ఆయన Hinduism ను అవగాహన చేసుకోలేదు అని, Islam కి దగ్గర అయ్యేరని, లేదా ఆయనే ఒక Muslim అని,  Socialist భావాలు ఉన్న కారణం చేత మన దేశం లో ఛాందస భావాలు ఎక్కువ అన్న అభిప్రాయం తో ఆయన ఉండేవారని, ఇలా రక రకాల అనుమానాలు ఆయన మీద ఉండి ఉండవచ్చు.* 

*కానీ, ఆయనకు Hinduism మీద, ఒక సదభిప్రాయమే ఉండడమే కాదు, Hinduism ను Religion అన్న కోణంలో చూసి తక్కువగా మాట్లాడలేదు. Hinduism అన్నది ఒక ఉన్నతమైన  way of Life అని చెబుతూ ఉండేవారు.* 

*Nehru also believed that all Indian Muslims are descendants of Hindus.* 

*ఆయన నేను హిందువు ను అని కూడా ఆయన* *_Discovery of India_* *లో చాలా clear గా చెప్పారు.* 

*అలాగే Hindu మహాసభ leaders ఆయన అనని మాటల్ని అన్నట్టుగా చిత్రీకరించారు.* 

*It  was N B Khare, a leader of the Hindu Mahasabha who had described Nehru as *_‘English by education, Muslim by culture and Hindu by an accident of birth’._*

*Mr. Khare in his write-up, titled *_The Angry Aristocrat_* 

*is a critique of Jawaharlal Nehru.*

*Here in this Essay,  he has claimed that Nehru in his autobiography had said that he (Nehru) is English by education, Muslim by culture and Hindu by an accident of birth. But nowhere we can find such statement by Nehru in his Autobiography.*

*See what actually Jawahar Lal Nehru by referring to his birth as a Hindu, had said,*

 *_“I was born a Hindu but I do not know how far I am justified in calling myself one or in speaking on behalf of Hindus. But birth still counts in this country and by right of birth I venture to submit to the leaders of the Hindus that it should be their privilege to take the lead in generosity. Generosity is not only good morals, but is often good politics and sound expediency. And it is inconceivable to me that in a free India the Hindus can ever be powerless.”_*
