Preetilata is the Promise
Born in Chittagong (now in Bangladesh), Preetilata Vaddedar was a meritorious student and fearless writer. Preetilata's elementary education took place in a local school. Preetilata had the feeling of patriotism since childhood. Why the British are our rulers, this idea used to run in his mind. Since childhood she was very impressed with the biography of Rani Lakshmi Bai. As a student at Eden College in Dhaka, she came in contact with women who were leading semi-revolutionary groups. Her anti-British spirit began to get stronger and stronger. At the same time, Pritilata's identity was from Subhash Chandra Bose's ally, Dhaka University student Leela Nag, who founded the revolutionary group *Deepali Sangh* providing war training to women.
Preetilata came to Kolkata to achieve higher education and passed Philosophy Bachelor Examination at Bethune College of Calcutta University. British officials at the University of Kolkata halted their degree due to anti-British activities.
He was introduced to the revolutionary leader *Surya Sen* in Kolkata, who was called 'Master Da' with love. Pritilata was very impressed by Sen's revolutionary ideas and soon joined her underground group. Initially, Surya Sen's ally Pritilata did not agree to make him a member of the underground group, but due to his love for the motherland and his amazing performance, they quickly became trustworthy of all. When Preetilata met Suryasen, they were in anonymous. One of his colleagues Ramakrishna Vishwas was in Alipur jail in Calcutta. They were sentenced to death. Meeting them was not easy. But Preetilata met him in prison about forty times and no officer even suspected him.
In April 1930, a group of Preetilata and 65 revolutionaries led by Surya Sen planned to raid the British Army arsenal and destroy telegraph and telephone lines. Although the group could not succeed in locating the arsenal, they managed to destroy telegraph and telephone lines. At that time many members in the group were very small, Subodh Roy was just the youngest of 14 years. Some members of the group were arrested and arrested, but Preetilata and some other revolutionaries managed to flee and reorganize over the next few months.

Planned to attack the club in 1932 due to racist and discriminatory practices towards Indians. Surya Sen appointed Preetilata as a leader for this task. Armed Preetilata reached the club on 24th September night. For self-defense, she also kept a poison called potassium cyanide. Bombed the window from outside. The club building started trembling with the sound of bomb explosion and pistols. Suddenly screams were heard in the atmosphere of dance. 13 British were injured and the rest ran away. A European woman was killed in the incident. After a while, that club started firing. Preetilata's body shot a bullet. They ran into injured state but then fell. Eaten potassium cyanide with the idea that the enemy could not touch their bodies. Like the queen of Jhansi, fighting with the British till the last minute, she herself died. He was only 21 at that time. Heroic Preetilata sacrificed her life for the nation at such a young age.
One of the letters received by English officials searching after Pritilata's self-sacrifice printed that "the path that will be adopted after the Chittagong arsenal scandal would be a primary form of future revolt. This struggle will continue till India gets full independence. "
A copy of Pritilata's Graduate Certificate and Marksheet was awarded to Birkanya Pritilata Trust in May 2018, located in the native village of Pritilta, Dhalghat, Patia, Chittagong established in her memory.
