 Nana Jagannath Shankar Seth

Who is credited for bringing trains to India, British? Absolutely not, Nana Jagannath Shankar Seth is the first person to start an initiative for this

Nana was born in the Swarnakar family and being a business family he was very rich in wealth
When a train started in England for the first time, it became the headline of the whole world, when this news reached Nana, he felt that this train should run in his village and city too.
Now Grandfather was not a common man, his business was very big, and his impact can be understood by this that many English officers lived in his company.
He opened many universities in which many great revolutionaries later adopted education in it, he opened the first school for girls in Mumbai. Nanaji had arranged to teach Sanskrit along with English in his schools
In 1843 he visited his father's friend Jamshed Jijobhoy aka JJ and told him his idea of Indian Railways, Supreme Court Judge Thomas and British Officer Skin Perry were very happy with the idea of trains running in India
Everyone liked the idea of Nana, and after that, all three together formed the Indian Railway Association, before that the British had no such plan for Railways.
When influential individuals like Nana and JJ gave their suggestions to the East India Company, they after much thought asked the government to work on it.
He formed a company named Great Indian Railways by connecting big businessmen of Mumbai to this project
This dream was fulfilled in 1853 when the train from Mumbai to the police station started, Nana ji and JJ also rode as passengers.
There is also a square in Maharashtra under his name and one of their railway station Mumbai Central Terminus is pending on Nanaji
Actually, we know each and everything of others but it is a distant thing to see the contribution of our own people, we do not like to even listen.
Because somewhere we are used to mental slavery
